Ambassador Faruk Kaymakcı, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Director for EU Affairs, addressed GRF and GRF Community members at a roundtable meeting organized at İstanbul Divan Hotel.

Ambassador Kaymakcı in his speech entitled "Current Situation and Future of Turkey-EU Relations," examined the latest political and economic developments between Turkey and the EU. He stated that Turkey’s relationship with EU countries should always continue within the perspective of membership in line with the necessities of Copenhagen Criteria. Kaymakcı also reiterated the need for revising the Customs Union regulations between Turkey and the EU in accordance with the Climate Change regulations.

Following his speech, Ambassador Kaymakcı answered the participants’ questions.
