On February 17, 2020, Ambassador Dr. Johannes Wimmer, Ambassador of Austria to Turkey, addressed GRF and GRF Community members at a roundtable meeting. In his speech, Ambassador Wimmer shared with the participants his evaluations of Austria’s new coalition government and outlined the new government’s policy priorities with regards to the European Union and beyond. Ambassador Wimmer emphasized that, despite the currently frayed relationship between Turkey and Austria, it still sees Turkey as a key strategic partner on migration management. Following his speech, Ambassador Wimmer answered the participants’ questions.
