The Global Relations Forum (GRF) and Carnegie Europe co-organized a panel discussion titled “Managing Key Aspects of EU–Turkey Relations.”
Held on 9 October 2025 and moderated by journalist Cansu Çamlıbel, the panel featured Ambassador (R) Selim Yenel, GRF President; Dr. Rosa Balfour, Director of Carnegie Europe; and Ignacio García Bercero, Senior Fellow at Bruegel and former Director-General for Trade at the European Commission.
Hosted by Bozlu Holding, a Corporate Member of GRF, the event took place at Bozlu Art Project (Mongeri Building) and opened with remarks by Zeynep Bodur Okyay, Chairperson of the GRF Board of Directors.
The panel addressed multiple dimensions of EU–Turkey relations amid the challenges shaking the European continent, including the modernization of the Customs Union, cooperation in security, defense, and innovation, partnerships in the defense industry, supply chain resilience, and the green transition.
The discussion emphasized the importance of building a resilient, sustainable relationship between the EU and Turkey—one capable of producing tangible benefits for both sides in the face of political, economic, societal, and geopolitical fluctuations.
The event concluded with an engaging Q&A session followed by a guided tour of the Bozlu Art Project collection.
