Hybrid Roundtable Meeting with Franz-Stefan Gady

Franz-Stefan Gady, Founder of Gady Consulting and Senior Adjunct Fellow at the Center for a New American Security, addressed the members of GRF and GRF Groups at the GRF office on 16 January during the hybrid meeting titled “The Return of (the) War: The Empire Strikes Back.”

The meeting focused on contemporary dynamics of warfare, the shift in U.S. foreign and security policy, the military and strategic trajectory of the war in Ukraine, and the implications of this process for NATO, Russia, and European security. Key topics also included the transformation of Russia’s military capabilities, U.S.–China–Russia relations in the context of great power competition, and Europe’s structural vulnerabilities in the field of defence.
