Roundtable Meeting with Andrew Smith

Mr. Andrew Smith, Director General of the Pan-Africa Bureau at Global Affairs Canada, addressed GRF members at a roundtable meeting held at the GRF Office on 3 February 2026, together with a delegation from the Consulate General of Canada in Istanbul and the Embassy of Canada in Ankara.

Titled “Opportunities for Cooperation between Türkiye and Canada in Africa,” the meeting addressed potential areas of cooperation that Türkiye and Canada could develop in third countries across the African continent, focusing on the political and diplomatic framework as well as opportunities for investment, trade, and business cooperation.
