On January 27, 2022, Former Assistant Secretary General of NATO & Former Permanent Representative of Turkey to NATO and OSCE, Ambassador (R) Tacan İldem and Former Permanent Representative of Turkey to NATO & Former Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador (R) Fatih Ceylan, addressed GRF and GRF Community members at an online panel meeting moderated by GRF President, Ambassador (R) Selim Yenel. In their speech entitled "Reflections on Artificial Intelligence for Security and Defense: The Role of AI in the New Order", the panelists examined how the advancements in artificial intelligence (AI) will affect the field of defense in the coming years. Stating that AI is as much a force multiplier as much as it is a threat multiplier, the panelists stressed that AI technologies have a prominent role in NATO’s 2030 agenda on future geopolitical conflicts. Following their speeches, the panelists answered Ambassador (R) Yenel’s questions.
