The COP30 Evaluation Meeting

The COP30 Evaluation Meeting was held on Tuesday, 9 December, at the İbrahim Bodur Seminar Hall in the Kaleseramik building. In the opening remarks delivered by Zeynep Bodur Okyay, Chair and CEO of Kale Group and Chair of the GRF Board of Directors, and Ambassador (R) Selim Yenel, Chair of the GRF Executive Committee, Türkiye’s position in climate diplomacy, the global expectations emerging in the aftermath of COP30, and the transformative role of public–private cooperation were addressed.

The meeting continued with a panel discussion moderated by Bengisu Özenç, Founding Director of SEFİA. The panel brought together Ayşin Turpancı, Head of the Climate Negotiations and International Policies Department at the Presidency of Climate Change of the Republic of Türkiye; Buğra Avcı, Member of the Executive Board of Habitat Association; Ümit Şahin, Senior Expert and Coordinator of Climate Change Studies at Istanbul Policy Center; and Seçil Yıldız, Deputy General Manager of the Development and Investment Bank of Türkiye. During the session, different dimensions of Türkiye’s and the global climate agenda in the post-COP30 period were examined. The meeting concluded with a question-and-answer session.
