Online Meeting with Hannah Hartig

Hannah Hartig, Senior Researcher at the Pew Research Center, addressed the members of GRF and GRF Communities at an online meeting titled “American Public Perception of the Trump Administration’s First 100 Days”, held on 2 June 2025. In her speech, Hartig drew on the Pew Research Center’s study titled “Trump’s Job Rating Drops, Key Policies Draw Majority Disapproval as He Nears 100 Days”, released to the public on 23 April. She evaluated American public opinion on the Trump administration’s first 100 days through the lenses of international relations, economic policy, and societal polarization.

Highlighting public attitudes toward issues such as wars, tariffs, and the transformation of the United States’ global role, Hartig also discussed the implications of domestic dynamics for U.S. foreign policy and the perceptual shifts concerning democratic norms. Following her remarks, Hartig answered the participants’ questions.
