GRF Vice-Chairman and Former Director-General of the OPCW Ambassador (R) Ahmet Üzümcü Has Been Made An Honorary Companion of the Most Distinguished Order of St. Michael and St George.

Ambassador (R) Üzümcü was awarded with the honorary companionship of "The Most Distinguished Order of St. Michael and St. George" by Ambassador of the United Kingdom to Turkey, Dominick Chilcott.

On December 8, 2021, GRF Vice-Chairman and Former Director-General of the Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) Ambassador (R) Ahmet Üzümcü was made an honorary Companion of  the United Kingdom’s "The Most Distinguished Order of St. Michael and St. George" for his efforts at limiting the use of chemical weapons throughout his career at the OPCW at an award ceremony. Ambassador (R) Üzümcü was presented with the honours by Ambassador of the United Kingdom to Turkey, Dominick Chilcott.
