We are deeply saddened by the passing of Prof. Dr. Nur Yalman, one of the most distinguished figures in Turkish and international academia, Senior Research Professor of Social Anthropology and Middle Eastern Studies at Harvard University, and Chairman of the Board of Trustees and Advisory Board of Koç University.
A pioneering scholar whose work left a lasting impact on the field of anthropology and fostered greater understanding between Eastern and Western societies, Prof. Dr. Yalman will be remembered for his rich academic legacy and the generations of students and scholars he inspired.
