Our valued member, Prof. Dr. Ufuk Akçiğit, Professor of Economics and holder of the Arnold C. Harberger Chair at the University of Chicago, has been awarded the Rahmi M. Koç Science Medal, presented for the 10th time this year.

We congratulate Prof. Akçiğit—who has been deemed worthy of the medal for his internationally recognized contributions to the field of economics, and in particular for his pioneering theoretical and empirical work on innovation, productivity, entrepreneurship, income distribution, and social mobility—and wish him continued success.
