GRF Community Meeting with
Mr.Hakan Altınay
President of Global Civics Academy and
Director of Boğaziçi University European School of Politics

On June 1st, 2016, Mr. Hakan Altınay, President of Global Civics Academy, Director, Boğaziçi University European School of Politics and GRF member addressed GRF Community Members. GRF community is composed of participants who successfully completed one of GRF’s Community programs.
In this first GRF Community Meeting Mr.Altınay delivered a speech entitled “illiberalism.” In his speech Mr.Altınay highlighted the importance of taking illiberal trends seriously, arguing that in the 21st century liberalism did not yield as much success as it did in the 20th century. He then moved to discuss the correlation between democracy and freedom. Following his presentation, Mr. Altınay received a wide range of questions from the participants.
