GRF Community Meeting with
Mr. Bekir Ağırdır,

On April 7, 2017, Mr. Bekir Ağırdır, Executive Director of KONDA Research and Consultancy, Board Member of TESEV, Columnist and GRF member, addressed GRF Community Members. The GRF community is composed of participants who successfully completed one of GRF’s Community programs. Mr. Ağırdır delivered a speech entitled “Why election polls struggle to predict results.” In his speech, Mr. Ağırdır noted the intricacies of providing accurate polls in an environment where day-to-day developments (e.g. terrorist attacks or even tweets) sway public opinion. He then highlighted the difficulties of sampling the electorate as well as door-to-door surveying. Following his presentation, Mr. Ağırdır answered the participants’ questions.
