On December 13, 2017, GRF organized a roundtable meeting with the Undersecretary of Turkey’s Ministry of EU Affairs, Ambassador Selim Yenel, within the framework of its Task Force on the Future EU-Turkey Relations.

In his speech entitled “How Can We Fix Turkey-EU Relations: What are the Possibilities?”, Ambassador Yenel shared his assessments on the past and present of Turkey’s relations with the EU, and elaborated on his projections for the near future. Three main components of Turkey-EU affairs, namely, membership negotiations, customs union and achieving visa liberalization, were discussed during the meeting.

Following his speech, Ambassador Yenel answered the questions posed by the participants.
