On May 15, 2018, Mrs. Anne Lauvergeon, CEO of Areva (F) and Board Member of Koç Holding, Rio Tinto and American Express, discussed state-corporate relations with GRF and GRF community members at a dinner. Giving a speech on the importance of innovation and state-corporate relations regarding transformative technologies, Mrs. Lauvergeon noted that innovation is an important part of answering the energy and security needs of the future. Mrs. Lauvergeon recalled her time as the head of France’s “Innovation Commission 2030” where they outlined avenues for fostering innovation like energy storage and personalized medicine, and stressed the necessity for further cooperation between governments and entrepreneurs. Following her speech, Mrs. Lauvergeon answered the participants’ questions.
