Dr. Charles Dallara, Former Managing Director of the Institute of International Finance (IIF) and Former US Executive Director of IMF, convened with GRF members and a group of Young Scholars at a Roundtable on May 14th. During his speech, Dr. Dallara gave a detailed overview on challenges posed by global economic and financial crisis, highlighting that structural reforms provide the best option to move ailing economies forward. Dr. Dallara also underlined the difficulty in implementing such reforms due to  declining capacity of political leadership in mature democracies. Following his speech, Dr. Dallara received a wide range of questions from the participants.
