Memduh Karakullukçu

Memduh Karakullukçu is the former Vice-Chairman and former President of Global Relations Forum (GRF). He is also the Founding Partner of the Turkish online legal informatics initiative, kanunum.com. Previously, he has served as the senior advisor to the Chairwoman of Turkish Industry and Business Association (TÜSİAD) and as the Founding Managing Director of Istanbul’s leading science park, Istanbul Technical University (İTÜ) ARI Teknokent, currently an innovation community of over one hundred technology companies. During his tenure at İTÜ, Mr. Karakullukçu was the senior advisor to the President, the coordinator of the Law, Technology and Policy graduate programme and the strategic advisor at the University’s Center for Satellite Communications. Mr. Karakullukçu has served as a member of the academic staff at the LSE and İTÜ. His earlier academic work includes research commissioned by the IMF and the World Bank on inflation dynamics, debt instruments and debt markets.His recent policy work at GRF includes global energy analysis, technology-related security issues, global economic/financial governance and the economic prospects of the MENA region. Earlier in his career, Mr. Karakullukçu worked as a specialist in structured finance in London and Istanbul. Mr. Karakullukçu received his B.S. in Electrical Engineering and in Economics at MIT, his MSc in Finance at the LSE and his J.D. at Columbia University. He is a member of the New York State Bar.
