Gülsün Bilgehan

Gülsün Bilgehan was a Member of the Turkish Parliament between 2002-2007. She represented Turkey in the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe, and Western Europe Union (WEU). In January 2007, she was elected as the Chairperson of the �Committee on Equal Opportunities for Women and Men of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe. She directed the "Campaign Against Domestic Violence" in Europe. In recognition of services rendered to the European cause, Gülsün Bilgehan is designated honorary associate of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe and was awarded the medal of "Pro Merito". Ms Bilgehan is also an author and a journalist. Currently, she is an academic at the Bilkent University and the Vice-President of the İnönü Foundation. Ms Bilgehan is a graduate of the Institute of Political Sciences in Paris in International Relations.
